A dispute between two people in the street, a couple argue, neighbours quarrel, a free for all…A territorial invasion, an urban provocation, belongings thrown out the window, a fiasco about the building façade!
SPACE
- City’s balconies are like small elevated stages looking out on the street.
- A first floor balcony provides optimum visibility for a large audience.
- A façade offers a great number of possibilities for movement and interplay.
- The playing area is, in this way, a vertical stage.
AIM
- To bring theatre out onto the street from the intimacy of the home.
- To create a drama out of the everyday and take it to its limits.
- To participate in life on the street and thereby stimulate the audience’s reaction.
PERILLOS CONSTANTS since 1982
- To work in the street, up above the heads of the spectators.
- To provoke laughter and suspense simultaneously simulating situations involving risk.
- To involve the audience directly in the action.
- To achieve situations where people voice their different opinions out loud on the controversial themes proposed.
